Semaglutide Treatments

Semaglutide is an FDA-approved appetite suppressant, administered weekly by subcutaneous injection. Semaglutide activates GLP-1 receptors in the brain, which stimulate insulin secretion and reduce glucagon secretion when blood glucose levels are elevated. It also slows the stomach’s process of moving food to the large intestine, causing the stomach to feel “full” longer.

Semaglutide is the only medication to demonstrate weight loss results that are on par with bariatric surgery. Patients report a significantly reduced appetite, as well as fewer sugar cravings.

As with any medication, some patients have reported side effects. These can include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, constipation, heartburn, and burping. If you are experiencing side effects, please talk with one of our providers.

Cost

The typical copay on semaglutide is $300 to $500, while out-of-pocket costs can range from $1,500 to $3,000 per month. For many people, this is simply out of reach. That’s why we have partnered with an independent supplier to offer cash pricing starting as low as $150 per month…
